Performance by Mad Kate (DE), 60'
In his groundbreaking book “The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life”, Erving Goffman studied how a person presents themselves to others, how they present their activities and manage the impressions that they make upon others. In the same way, Mad Kate explores various aspects of her identity and the different roles that her body assumes. Questioning both political borders and gendered boundaries, she shows how her body is a sexual body, a parental body, a performing body and a performative body.
